ON A PLAYER’S TURN
Step 1. The player turns over one of their Snorkelin’ cards face-up from their Snorkelin’ Reef. If the revealed card is sea creature leave in place and move to step 2. If the revealed card is a SHARK! card or a Coral Reef Protection card, the player picks up the card and adds it to their player’s hand.
Step 2. The player next selects one top card from either the Deep Blue Sea or the Shallow Pool and adds this card to their player’s hand.
Step 3. The player can, if they choose, do one of the following: 1. replace one face-up card in their Snorkelin’ Reef (replaced card is placed in the Shallow Pool); 2. add a card to an empty space (their are a maximum of 5 card spaces) in their Snorkelin’ Reef; or, 3. add a Coral Reef Protection card to the top of one of their 5 creature cards in their Snorkelin’ Reef.
Step 4. If the player has more than 6 cards in their player’s hand, they must discard to the Shallow Pool.
The player’s turn is over and play continues clockwise to the player to the left. Play continues until a player has 5 different face-up sea creatures in their Snorkelin’ Reef at the end of their turn and they are not sharked by another player. The round ends immediately and players add up their combined Snorkelin’ Points in their Reef. Each player’s total points are recorded and, if a second round is played, it starts over as shown in Quick Start above.
